I’ve tried a lot of clean / conscious beauty products, and I mean A LOT. Every month, I’m testing out a new serum, deodorant, face wash, you name it! But some products stand out significantly from the rest, meaning I am not only willing to repurchase them, but I legitimately worry about being without them! I am excited to share this post about my all-time favorite, holy grail conscious beauty skincare products!
Okay so here’s my checklist for a product to be considered “holy grail” status:
- Effectiveness – this is a given, right? I need to see a noticeable difference in my skin from using the product.
- Uniqueness – does it make me say, “WOW” when I use it? Lots of effective products exist, but I’m looking for this to stand out among the competition.product, am I willing to go out of my way to fit it into my routine every day.
- Level of Excitement – do I look forward to using this product? If it’s more complicated to use than the average product, am I willing to go out of my way to keep it in my routine?
My 3 Holy Grail Conscious Beauty Skincare Products
This cleanser is a DREAM. A pure dream. It suds really nicely and completely removes makeup. A little goes a long way – just 1-2 pumps is plenty. I learned this the hard way after going through almost a whole bottle in less than three weeks – HA (I started out with like 4 pumps at a time and using it AM & PM).
This cleanser is not just effective, but it’s non-stripping and leaves my face feeling baby soft. Perfect for all skin types, but especially anyone with dry skin.
Lastly, at $24, it won’t break the bank!
I’m now on my third (yes, THIRD) bottle of this goodness, and it keeps selling out so I restock every time I get a chance.
This vitamin c powder is like none other. Most brands of vitamin c powders use fillers like tapioca starch or rice powder – not this one! It is just two ingredients: calcium and organic sodium ascorbyl phosphate.
This powerful (yet sensitive-skin friendly!!!) powder dissolves into your favorite toner or serum. I find that it reduces acne, treats and prevents discoloration/hyperpigmentation, and firms my skin. (I genuinely find that my skin looks tighter and bouncier when I incorporate this product into my routine!)
Even better, since this product is in powder form, it stays shelf stable significantly longer than a liquid c serum. The $122 price tag (pictured is the $39 for the travel size – great way to test it out first) may cause a little sticker shock, but it lasts a long time and you can use it sparingly without worrying about it expiring!
If I had to choose a single skincare product to bring with me to a desert island, this would be it! This night cream is what aging, dry, sensitive skin dreams are made of!
The texture of this ultra hydrating + moisturizing cream is a thicker, whipped consistency, but it sinks in easily without feeling overly heavy or greasy. My favorite part about this night cream is that my skin still feels hydrated when I wake up in the morning!
I also love that it’s water-based with shea butter as the second ingredient since I tend to break out when heavy oils are used in the base of a product. (Note: It does contain coconut alkanes (aka coconut oil) about halfway down the ingredient list, but I have never had an issue with it!)
I refuse to run out of this cream. It is always in stock at my house. I’ve tried many other night creams, but I keep running back to this one. I have purchased and re-purchased at least 10 times at this point!
I must briefly mention that what works for me may not work for you. I have dry / combination, sensitive, acne-prone, aging skin. While I try my best to share about products that will work for most skin types, you may find that you have different preferences when it comes to the products in your personal routine.
